Dementia - Innovative care for persons with dementia
Enoll Summer school 2013 - Manchester Metropolitan University
Diana and Liselore from the Mental Health Care Institute Eindhoven participated in the 4th European Network of Living Labs summer school that took place in The Manchester Metropolitan University from 27-30 august 2013. The ENoLL started 10 years ago, at PREST conference (Manchester). Till now, more than 300 living labs are joining the ENoLL worldwide and they have been worked on theory building, case studies; exploration, measurements, new theories/concepts and branching.
The duration of the summer school was 4 days. First day was a research day, second and third days were innovation days with workshops and the last day was the conference day. There were more than 150 participants every day. Diana also gave a presentation on the research day about “Building on a Living Lab in Dementia care: A transnational multiple case study” from the project Innovate Dementia. She showed the facilitators and barriers during the first year of building up a transnational Living Lab Innovate Dementia. After lunch, Horizon 2020 (a funding program, first call starts in January 2014) organized pitching and matchmaking sessions for the Enoll-members. Furthermore, the non-Enoll-members could participate in a speed-dating session or listen to the pitching’s.
Day 2 and day 3 were the innovation days. Several workshops were organized (Smart Cities, Working with users, Shaping Open Innovation, LL Methodology Handbook, People Olympics, FI-PPP 3rd phase, etc). The days were closed by a city walk to Manchester, Original, Modern Industrial City, site visits (Growing Gorton, Madlab, FutureEverything, etc).
Day 4 was the conference day.
